Creation of Filter Pond
To prevent Nutrient seepage into the water table a new filter pond was created.
Contamination.
Risk of Nutrient seepage into the surrounding water table.
Creation of Filter Pond.
Date 21st September 2006 Volunteers decide on size of pond and
commence the removal of trees to control and reduce risk of
contamination.
19th November 206 Following the tree clearance the area was excavated to create the Filter Pond.
New Filter Pond.
31st July 2007 This newly created Filter Pond with its introduced
aquatic water plants will control and reduce the nutrient seepage
into the surrounding water table.
